The Canadian Red Cross is bringing together people in Manitoba and Nunavut to promote respectful relationships and prevent bullying by celebrating Pink Day in 2017.

Pink Day began when two Nova Scotia high school students took a stand against bullying and asked all of their peers to wear pink to school after a male classmate had been bullied for wearing a pink shirt.

In honour of the original Pink Day, the Canadian Red Cross Day of Pink brings together schools, workplaces and communities throughout Manitoba and Nunavut to wear the shirt and stand together for respect and bullying prevention.

The Canadian Red Cross is once again celebrating both the national and international Pink Days, on Feb. 22 and April 12 in 2017.

We want you to celebrate Pink Day in your workplace and community with our Canadian Red Cross Pink Day T-shirts. To make sure your workplace is ready to be a part of the Pink Day celebrations, you can place the entire T-shirt order right here.

For schools, each T-shirt costs $20 plus applicable taxes. The Canadian Red Cross will invoice you for payment once the order has been made on this site. The sizing chart can be found below.

All proceeds of the T-shirt sales go to Canadian Red Cross to support bullying prevention education in Manitoba and Nunavut.

The deadline to order shirts so they can be delivered for the Feb. 22 Pink Day is Feb. 3. To get the shirts in time for April 12, the order deadline is March 3.

If your workplace has not yet been registered for Red Cross Pink Day, please go to to register your workplace. Registration provides access to a resource toolkit filled with materials and ideas to assist your workplace in celebrating Pink Day.

Thank you for ordering shirts for your workplace and working with us to share this positive, respectful message.

Don’t forget to join the conversation online, through this year’s theme #HeroesAssemble because standing up for kindness, respect and bullying prevention is heroic.
