About Pink Day

In 2018, the Canadian Red Cross will again celebrate bullying prevention with two Pink Days, one on Feb. 28 and one on April 11.

Pink Day began when two Nova Scotia high school students took a stand against bullying and asked all of their peers to wear pink to school after a male classmate had been bullied for wearing a pink shirt.

In honour of the original Pink Day, the Canadian Red Cross Pink Day brings together schools, workplaces and communities throughout Manitoba to wear the shirt and stand together against bullying.
