About Pink Day
In 2017, the Canadian Red Cross is expanding its celebration because we believe that Everyday is Pink Day. With that in mind the Red Cross will hold not one but two Pink Days, on Feb. 22 and April 12, 2017.
Day of Pink began when two Nova Scotia high school students took a stand against bullying and asked all of their peers to wear pink to school after a male classmate had been bullied for wearing a pink shirt.
In honour of the original Day of Pink, the Canadian Red Cross Day of Pink brings together schools, workplaces and communities throughout Manitoba to wear the shirt and stand together against bullying.
